Clovelly
on the Devon Guide
The
whole village of Colvelly is privately owned and has been turned
into a tourist attraction. showing little signs of the fishing industry
to which it owes its birth. Clovelly has been a noted beauty spot
since novelist Charles Kingsly (1819-1875) wrote about it in his
story of the Spanish Armada - Westwood Ho! (1855).

Clovelly
is impossibly picturesque and should feature on the itinery
of anyone visiting the area. In the summer is is very busy,
but an out of season visit allows you to see the genuine charm
of beautiful Clovelly.
