The
Devon Guide - Accommodation, attractions and business in Devon
Devon
is a county of contrasts. From windswept rugged moors, to tranquil
riverbanks and dramatic coastlines there's a different view of Devon
to be explored around every corner.
One
common theme that runs through Devon is the speciality food and
drink producers. This part of England is famous for its dairies,
cattle, orchards and fishing industry. You can experience this first
hand by visiting one of the many farmers' markets that are regularly
held throughout Devon.
Dartmoor,
designated as a National Park in 1951, is a beautiful moorland landscape
broken up by windswept Tors and wooded valleys. It covers over 368
square miles.
